We throw a party, are invaded and I have some tools

Hey there, friends

What's new? I've been walking up a storm lately. Now I can stand up on my own and walk from room to room and around corners. I still wave my hands over my head like I'm Frankenstein, but I'm actually pretty fast and sometimes I even start running.

We threw a little party for Meg's birthday last week, and I got to push Harrison around in my wagon. We both enjoyed that. It was quite a madhouse around here, with 6 adults trying to keep up with 4 kids. I got everyone dancing to some "crocodile rock" and everything was good.

We've just discovered that there are 2 raccoons living in the back yard. This guy was climbing all over my stroller looking for food. They look friendly and furry, but Dad says that they have to go.

I also just got some new toys. Everytime Dad tried to use a hammer or screwdriver, I wanted to help, and now I can. Some kid was selling a bunch of toy tools on Craigslist. Here I am with my "scoo"(screwdriver) and "ammer" or "boomboom" (Hammer). We also found a bunch of toy cars in the attic.

That's about it for now. We're all getting ready for the next leg of the "Danielpalooza 2006" Asian tour next week. I'll be visiting Korea briefly on my way to Thailand. We get to spend about 10 days there, and I bet I get to meet an elephant or two. You may not hear from me until we're back from that. Happy thanksgiving, everyone!

Love, D.

Happy Halloween!!!!!

I hope everyone had a happy and not too scary Halloween. I went trick-or-treating at Papa’s office on Monday. That was fun. I got lots of ‘teats’ (treats). Tuesday night was too cold to go out to the neighbors so we just stayed in and handed out goodies to the bigger kids. That was okay with me as long as they weren't wearing a scary white mask. I didn't like those at all! I much preferred the ladybugs and i-pods.

I had my 18 month check-up on Monday. They confirmed that I’m a normal, healthy and happy kid with an impressive vocabulary. For those of you that like the stats here they are: I weighed in at 21 lbs 9 oz (5th percentile). I’m 32 inches tall (40th percentile). My head circumference is 18 7/8 inches (60th percentile). My next appointment will be when I turn 2.

Until next time…
Love, D
