Hi there, friends.
Merry Christmas! I woke up on Monday morning and there were presents for me under the tree. Click here or on the picture for a little video. The soundtrack is in a dialect known as "Daniel with Pacifier", so for those of you who aren't trained in that it goes: "Truck", "Big", "Truck", "Fast", "Truck", "Wagon", "Sit".
I got some great toys for Christmas, thank you everyone - I'm not going to run through them all here, but I love them all. More pictures will be forthcoming, I'm sure.
I can sit on my new truck and ride around, which is a lot of fun. As you can see, I still have an "owie sticka" (bandaid) on my forehead, but it's healing up OK under there. I've been stringing together two-word commands for a while now, but it's really taken off in the last week (Papa walk please).
They had to show me how to open the first present, but after that, I got the point. Christmas is fun - can we do it again next week?
Last night we went to the zoo with Ethan and Reid for the Zoo lights. I like tunnels, so any time there was a tunnel of lights, I walked back and forth forever. There weren't many animals out, but I had fun watching the raffs (giraffes) eat.
Thats all for now. Take care.

Who wants to go to the ER for Christmas?
I was sitting on the couch, watching a little ideo (video) with mom this afternoon, and decided to see if I could fly. So I jumped off the couch, and tried to move the coffeetable with my forehead. Furniture 1: Daniel 0. I got a 2-inch long deep gash over my right eye that took 7 stitches to close. Not even the fact that there were nurses was enough to stop me from screaming.
I'm better now. Stitches come out on Thursday. Everyone is a little freaked out, but relieved that it didn't go worse. We need a new route to the Emergency Room, since we were stuck for 45 minutes of mall traffic on the way there.

On a brighter note, papa spent Thursday digging us out from that big storm I told you about. I got to watch and play in the "tunnels" as he cleared a path to the street. Click here or on the picture to see a video of that.
We had yule dinner at the blisses last night, and that was great fun. So far no pictures of that, but if we find some, we'll post those too.
Merry Christmas everyone.
Love, D.

All Snowed in
Hi there friends
You might have seen the news that Denver has been hit by a big blizzard, and I just wanted to let you all know that we're fine here. The snow at the house is deeper than I am tall. I went outside to play in it, but I didn't like sinking in that deep.
It's been nice here at the house. We lit a fi-ah (fire) in the fireplace, and had candas (candles) all around.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas.
Love, D.

Happy Holidays!
December sure is a crazy month.
We hadn't been back from Thailand more than a couple of days when we had friends over for "thanksgiving" dinner. That was fun. We had our own little "kids table".
We also went to the Christmas show that our new city put on. I got to meet a snow faerie, which I sort of liked, but Santa a.k.a. "Father Snow" was scary, and I didn't like that at all.
I've been down to Houston for a quick trip to celebrate an early Christmas with the cousins. Chloe got me some construction vehicles, and Kayla and Brayden got me some the Baby Einstein Christmas video. I loved all of it.
I still wear a cast at night by the way - I mention this because while we were in Houston, it got lost. Quite the mystery it was. Net effect was that when we got back, I got a new one. It's bright green, so we should be able to keep track of it.
And we went to Eli's first birthday last weekend.
And we moved all of the remaining furniture from the old house, so I got some more books and toys back, and lots of boxes to climb on.
And next weekend it's Yule dinner. Whew.
My walking/running has gotten a lot surer in the last couple of weeks. I've started to use two-word combinations a lot more than I had. I still don't like putting away my toys though.
I hope everyone has a great Christmas.
Love, Daniel.

Vacation in Thailand
Howdy friends!
We're back from vacation, and it was excellent. It's a long way from Denver to Phuket, but it can be done in relative comfort. I had plenty of room to walk around and play and even got some good sleep going both ways. The flight attendants thought I was cute. It turns out that I like caviar, which dad says is a habit I'd better get out of really fast. I thought I might see an elephant on this trip, and I did. I thought they were pretty cool. Dad captured my expression when I saw my first elephant.
I was a popular guy in Thailand - it might be the blond thing, I don't know. In any case - men and women alike would come up and rub my arms as if I were a good-luck charm, and I appear as a prop in tons of japanese honeymoon videos.
It was a mellow vacation, for sure. Most days we would sim (swim) at the beach and in the pool, and I ate a ton of appah (pineapple), keam (ice cream) and watermellon juice (my favorite). I also got to ride around on boats and trucks, which I love.
There were tons of these frogs.
Of course - farmor and pa! (Grandpa) were there too. Farmor got me this nice orange truck that I played with the whole vacation. It was really nice. I left it down there for next time we go to Thailand, or for my cousin Leo to play with when he goes.
We ate a lot of dinners at a Thai restaurant on the beach. They had all of these toys, and a bunch of tanks with fish and cabs (crabs) in them. I like looking at crabs.
Well, that's about it, really. We did stop over in Korea going both ways, but didn't leave the airport (it was cold and rainy). Now we're back in cold, cold Colorado and we're still working off a little jetlag, but other than that, all is good. I even have a little bit of a tan.
On wednesday, we head down to Houston for an early Christmas celebration with the cousins. After that, we're done with travel for a while. I seem to always be on the go somewhere, but we'll be in town for a while after next week. For those of you that don't already know - I'm getting a baby sister on February 7th (or so). Everyone is very excited about that - they've taught me the phrase "baby sister".
Until later, Love. D
