I'm back. In case you weren't paying close attention, I was in Kentucky visiting family this week. The picture above shows me and my great-grandma, 'Old Granny'. Can you see the outstanding head control? Unfortunately, Mom's camera broke so the only pictures we have so far are from the video camera (and none of those are all that great). Mom bought a one-time camera, so maybe there will be some shots that show the rest of the great-aunts and uncle when it gets developed.
I did just fine on the plane both ways, and was just a little fussy after all of the car rides. I really enjoyed meeting everyone. I brought out my best smiles and everyone just adored me. They tried to convince Mommy to leave me with them, but she said no way! Old Granny and I had fun playing together. She would hold out a toy, I would grab it with one hand, start to grab it with the other, but, then I would drop the toy when my hands met because holding my own hands is more fun than holding the toy.
I have outgrown a whole bunch of clothes, so you'll start seeing some new outfits. As for new skills - well, there aren't any that are truly "new" this week, but I'm reaching for more things when I want them, holding myself straight when I sit up, sitting up on my own for about 0.001 second before my big head pulls me down, and starting to shriek just a little.
That's it for now. Next week we schedule surgery (I think) and I have my 4-month appointment at the pediatrician.
Love, D.
